Ok so I had another weird dream, not so much a nightmare this time, just one that I'd like my dream-un-weaver Eva to solve ^_^

I dreamt that I was in London, and was visiting a girl I don't know (Dawn Porter/ Alexa Chung type person), but throughout the dream she felt like a future friend, someone I was bonding with as the dream progressed. Anyway, that wasn't really a big part of the dream, just like a side-note. Anyway, she was working at BBC and I got a guided tour from her. While I was there I saw lots of ppl I know from TV and radio, and when we were in an office with a big round table and chairs with red fabrics, windows overlooking the river and the boats, she introduced me to Zane Low (a DJ/VJ at BBC and MTV) who was talking about something I can't remember, but the conclusion was that "those people" didn't have TV-faces, "not like you" he said as a side-comment and nodded his head towards me.

Told them it was a dream of mine to live in London some time and that I was intending on doing it as soon as possible, I just needed a reason and an excuse to go there. Not intended at all as a hint to what we were talking about, just as a statement.

Walked through the reception as we went to the cafeteria and saw some famous person I can't remember who was sitting in a sofa there. Wondering if it was either Graham Norton or Dame Edna, haha!

For some reason we picked up a baseball-bat on the way which we brought with us to the cafeteria, and when we sat down, these people started coming up to us asking for my new friend's autograph. We started talking and laughing about what we should do when the next people came up, and when it turned out that the next group of people who wanted to sit with us, was a cheesy boyband style group of guys, I spluttered "WHACK'EM WIV DA BAT!!" And we laughed so hard that we couldn't breathe anymore, she lifted the bat over her head and looked like she was proper ready to actually whack them, and they ran off.

Then I woke up!

Huuuulp!! What do all these weird dreams mean??

well entertaining

So.. I REALLY hate marching bands, but..

Having very interesting dreams while on antibiotics..

Today (sleeping in the middle of the day does nothing to calm the dream- activity!)

Dreamt that I was gonna meet my brother at a mall somewhere. On the top floor there was a record store, and when I met my brother he gave me a metal suitcase that he wanted me to take up to them, it was full of records that they were gonna sell.

I took the stairs up to the third floor and were greeted by guards who told me to put the case down and surrender. Asked them what was wrong and they asked what was in the case. Told them it was records for the recordstore. Where had I gotten them? Told them my brother who worked for them gave them to me cos he was in a rush (which in the dream was true). They told me that those records were illegal, that someone had done something to them (dunno what, either pirate stuff or smuggling or something), and that they knew that I was involved and that the transfer of records and dirty money had been taking place in the mall elevator. Told them I had not been in the elevator and told them to check their security cams to find that I was right. One of them laughed and said "Oh right, you don't think we know about the blind spot?" The what?? "the blind spot where the camera doesn't reach!"
I just stared at him as a police officer came over and handcuffed me and told me to come along.

Did what he said, I had done nothing wrong and intended on proving that one way or another, I had nothing to hide. He brought me down to street level, and I remember thinking as he walked me out on the high street that "it's a good thing I've got the kind of clothing style I've got, people are gonna think I'm a punk head who has caused trouble and are gonna be more occupied with the clothes and the style than my face" and felt strangely comfortable being pulled out into broad daylight on a busy street, handcuffed and led by a police officer.

For reasons I couldn't quite figure out though, he brought me not to the police car but to a building across the street and said "we're going in here first", and as we walked inside an empty room which looked like a deserted bank or something, he said "you know, for your own good it's best that you just go in there *pointing at the next room* and just surrender and confess to what you've done".
Told him I had not done anything. He sighed and said "You know if you wanna make this difficult we're gonna have to do the whole route, tests and all!" Told him they could do all the tests they wanted, I haven't done drugs once in my entire life. He pulled me over to what looked like a deserted reception counter in dark brown wood, and pulled out a SOWING NEEDLE and asked me to stick my tongue out. Didn't exactly understand why he couldn't use my finger or arm but did as he told me to, and he stuck the needle deep into my tongue and let the blood which was pretty much GUSHING out drip down on something I couldn't see. With a vicious smirk he told me "don't worry, it'll stop bleeding in 7 hours' time."
By that time I was so angry that I intentionally spat blood on the counter we were standing at, AND onto the police-dude's uniform and he shoved a piece of paper in my mouth and told me to bite on it to stop the bleeding.

And then I woke up.

O_o

Last night I had an equally weird dream, less detailed but.. well what I can remember is this:

My mum and I were going to a Kaizers Orchestra concert which was held in someone's basement in a backyard. Unfortunately we didn't have any tickets, so we were told to go away. As we were chatting in the same backyard Åge Hareide came over and started flirting with my mum! O_o
We then went back to my backyard (without Mr. Hareide) and were talking about all the weird stuff that had happened lately. For some reason, all the pigeons in the city had been sitting on the rooftops in my backyard, and they were all featherless and fried. Now to add to that, they had sort of been split into different areas, and each area had less fried birds on one side, and blackened VERY fried birds on the other, as if a wave of heat or flames had been sweeping across the roofs and been stronger at certain intervals so those birds were more affected. Also, all the birds were standing, headless I might add, in a certain disco-like funky pose!

So, logically enough, mum and I went into the neighbouring door from mine and took the airport train from there!

And then I woke up.

The OOOOOOOH so long awaited video for Undisclosed Desires by Da MYOOOOOZE was released today!!! ^_^

Enjoy!!!

A lot last night but nothing today and most of it just confusing matters. This site should have the stats up soon (though should have been done around 5am):
http://www.idemc.org/?area=eu

WHO released a statement saying there's no reason to panic, seems a normal situation but with politics being played, we're sending a team there to check it out:
http://www.who.int/csr/don/2009_11_01/en/index.html

Freelance journos are saying there's a major coverup of deaths in Minsk and Belarus and provide casualty lists. http://czy.livejournal.com/ and http://sammy-belarus.livejournal.com/317073.html

Hungary are warning of a State of Emergency due to the Ukrainian outbreak and are close to epidemic levels: http://www.caboodle.hu/nc/news/news_...ash=01482fd6fd

The H1N1 samples from victims have mutation which means the virus is far better at transmission in cold air and has far faster replication at human body temperature, which emerged in Singapore a couple of months back and The Netherlands last week.

Hospitals go under quarantine in Romania:
http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/20...t_12374041.htm

Chinese whispers are occuring as stories hit AP and Reuters, original speeches about the country being closed for three weeks have been changed to closing for only one week, and Ministry of Health speculation over what the Pnuemonia is has been changed to confirmation it's all Swine Flu despite the Ukraine only owning 200 testing kits and results taking two weeks to come back.

Poland is testing samples so hopefully they'll have some more reliable info.

Then finally, Ukraine:

Ukrainian PM says there's no hospital database (which makes the infected figures on the ministry website sound odd), that there's only one flu doctor in the country and it's all the President's fault because he's been warning of this for months. Prices of basic foods have more than quadrupled as people are trying to use lemon and garlic to cure themselves due to Pharmacies being emptied: http://www.kyivpost.com/news/nation/detail/51691/

Opposition candidate says all quarantined regions are where his party look to gain the most votes and the whole thing's a political campaign:
http://www.ukrainianjournal.com/inde...rticle&id=9367

Ukrainian messageboards are saying also armed police in Lviv stopping and searching people, demanding to see ID more regularly and arresting those that don't have it (criminal offence not to carry it IIRC) so best remind him to carry that.

Today's newspapers are still saying it's Viral Pnuemonia/a new form of Plague:
http://day.kiev.ua/282726/

More of Moldova sealed off due to an outbreak of 'Highly pathogenic Bird Flu and Swine Plague' according to officials:
http://www.regnum.ru/news/1221099.html

though it's a dsiputed territory so again may just be political games.

Ukrainian Health Minister, Vasilij Lazorishinec, now says:

Quote:
We have a strain of virus that is different from the swine flu virus in USA or Mexico. The virus has mutated.

Latest Updates:

Media curfews have been put in place, all local media must only report the government stance to protect national security. The illness is to be dubbed 'African Swine Plague' (fuck knows why). Ukraine wanted to close borders with Russia on 21 October due to outbreaks of plague, though the closure never happened.

All work cancelled, food will be the only trade for the forseeable future according to the President.

Trnopol and other towns are being surrounded by tanks and army in bioweapon suits. German news is reporting Planes and Helicopters are spraying antivirals and antibacterials on the area.

Polish hospitals have started turning away Ukrainians as many poor over the border to seek treatment.

Modova and Belarus now reporting over 100,000 ill in new outbreaks there. No hospitals will comment on the situation. Though reports of 16 deaths are going across newswires.

International teams of medical investigators have been refused entry to Ukranian one province, Lviv, sparking fears of a coverup. All shops were said to have been boarded up.

Elton John appears to be seriously ill with E Coli and Flu days after gigging in the Ukraine. Currently in King Edward VII hospital in London.

Afghanistan has just closed all schools for three weeks due to Swine Flu.

This is copied from another site, just in case that person is reading, I'm not taking the credit for this info:

************************************************************************************************************

This is getting more fucked fast. One hospital in the Ternponil region reporting 1500 deaths in the last few hours. Main symptom appears to be the lungs melting as their temperature rapidly soars to around 55C.

More reliable reports finally hitting ProMed: http://www.promedmail.org/pls/otn/f?..._ID:1000,79896

Apparently 60% of border police have come down with illness so border controls are no longer working. 11 died of H1N1 and at least 107 from Pneumonia, victims lungs are said to have melted. In some regions nearly half the population are currently infected.

The Army are still busy attempting to disinfect streets and enclosed areas

It appears it could also be part of a power sturggle between the President and Prime Minister with both exagerrating the situation to make them come across as heroes and win the upcomming elections. Though Poland, Czech Rep, Russia and Slovakia are donating billions in supplies to combat the outbreak so appears unlikely.

One million guaze face masks per day are being manufactured despite offering no protection over Swine Flu, though they do work more effectively on Plague.

Samples have been sent to London to test for presence of Y Pestis. Y pestis has a 90% mortality rate even with treatment.

************************************************************************************************************

Is it even possible that this could be natural and coincidental occurrences?? Really??

As most of you know, I'm a dedicated fan of conspiracy theories.
Be it lizard-people or the US planting terrorism in their own country to separate the countries or Eurasia and gain control of our resources or ppl being genetically improved by aliens.. I love it all.
Now this is just brain "spring cleaning" on my part, and I'm not gonna say a word about which of the following statements or theories I believe in or not. I'm just.. thinking out loud. Alright? Good!

Anyway, to me and fellow conspiracy-geeks, the new flues are of course one big party!
Well.. party is wrong word obviously, we find no JOY in these diseases, but it has once again made the whole world buzz with rumors.

WHAT is this H1N1 virus- also known as Swine Flu?
Is it divine intervention? Is it man-made? Is it toxic waste in nature mutating viruses that already exist? Is it aliens trying to control the population?

The theories are many and each more inventive and creative than the next. A global virus, effectively wiping out people EVERYWHERE! No cultural differences, no racial differences- the only people that seem immune to the virus are those of old age. Now this could either mean that "who/whatever has planted this virus know that they'll die soon anyway so why bother killing them", or it could mean that they're simply already immune to the virus due to the Spanish flu and other pandemics that have run wild before us young ones' time.

There's no fireproof way of stopping the virus. Once you have it, patience is the only way to get rid of it. All we have to prevent it is a vaccine no one has tested properly yet. Which in its turn creates more theories. Does it even work? Is it capitalism trying to gain money off of people's misfortune? Is it gonna make us sicker? Or sick in another way?

Young, healthy and strong people seem to be the ones who go first. In Europe, Norway is one of the countries hardest affected. 4,700 000 million people, 14 dead. Whereas Sweden and Denmark, our neighboring countries have 1 or 2 deaths each. Why? Because it's a flu virus that thrive in cold weather? Or because we're one of the richest countries in the world and need to be stopped?

And just as that theory came about, another country was affected even worse than Norway. Not a wealthy country at all, not even considered, by many, a western country. Ukraine.

Shit looks to have hit the fan there. 27 deaths and 2000 hospitalisations in the last TWO DAYS in what appears to be a new form that's just emerged.

New strain or mutation causing severe haemorraghing in the lungs, some tested postive for Swine Flu though it seems it could be a new form of Pneumonia. Death occurs within 12 hours of first showing symptoms in fatal cases. The victims have been found with lungs filled with blood.

State of emergency to be imposed over the weekend. All schools, universites and all public events have been cancelled for at least three weeks and unconfirmed reports that several regions will be quarantined via police lockdown. WHO are sending officials to check it out. Poland look to be closing borders.

This starts a whole new set of theories. Is it to wipe out the people that aren't affected hard enough by the swine flu? Or did someone find a way to make a stronger, more potent virus? Did the virus we all know as Swine Flu mutate in Ukraine to create some sort of super-bug?

Does this all come down to capitalism? Terrorism? Apocalypse? Population control?

What the hell is going on in the world?

MUSE- Best band in the world!

The rock band MUSE, which Sunday played Oslo Spektrum, were yesterday awarded Best Band In The World at the Q Awards.

AT THE Q AWARDS: British band MUSE took a tiny break from their European Tour to party with Q.

The British music magazine Q are the ones behind the annual award show which takes place in London.

Muse got the prestigious title Best Band In The World which last year was given to Coldplay, and which earlier years it has been received by bands such as U2, Metallica and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The British band Muse are currently touring Europe, and on Sunday they played to a sold out Oslo Spektrum, a concert which was rewarded 5/6 stars from VG.

Brilliant!

An empty space was left in the rock world when Radiohead didn't have the guts to be Radiohead anymore, and Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins lost the plot at the end of the 90's.

LASERSHOW: Guitarist and vocalist Matthew Bellamy bombarded Oslo Spektrum with light and sound.

Muse
Venue: Oslo Spektrum
Audience: Ca. 8000 (full)
Current CD: «The Resistance»
5/6 stars

After a promising start, Muse have spent 5 albums filling this empty void, and become an against-all-odds-phenomenon, which last night in Oslo could show off 4 laser-machines, 3 hydraulic video-projector plateaus (including a revolving one for the drums), a pair of flashing sunglasses, a dozen white balloons filled with red and white confetti, bombs and grenades.

When the piano was rolled onto the stage for Matthew Bellamy's most theatrical Freddie Mercury-ballades, among which the almost criminal Queen-a-like "United States of Eurasia", even said piano were blinking and lighting up.

Roaring Audience

Everything was being matched by thousands of cellphone cameras lighting up the arena, as well as a youthful roar from the audience greeting every song as if it had just arisen on the 3rd day.

If - for some unknown reason - you'd feel the need to search for anything problematic, it could be claimed that there's something cult-like about Muse's apocalyptic "revolutionary" "us vs them"- lyrics, complete with a performance that doesn't just get, but also demands total dedication and blind affection.

This combined with the fact that the band's heavy, authoritarian virtuos metal-progrock often has march- like qualities and tendencies. Roger Waters knew which powers he voiced when Pink Floyd built "The Wall". Are Bellamy and his two companions (plus a tour- member on keys) on the same level of reflection?

Delicious

Whatever the truth is, my GOD the music is awesome. The band has not yet had time to get fed up by their own classics, and the Wagner-in-outer-space "spacerock" in the nicely titled "Exogenesis: Symphony Part I (Overture)" is simply delicious arena-candy. The sound was superb and loud, and the whole arena was filled with hormones as "Stockholm Syndrome" and "Knights Of Cydonia" were being played towards the end.

For some reason, it never really gets quite this good when Mark Knopfler or Eric Clapton plays Oslo Spektrum..

ESTHETIC: Muse know how it should look when you invite people to a rock concert!

Musorama in Oslo Spektrum

A lot of fun for the money paid!

Artist: Muse
Where: Oslo Spektrum
Audience: 8500 (sold out)

5/6 stars!

Subtlety is not MUSE's favourite subject.
This is something they prove once and for all as they each emerge from their own private skyscraper when starting their concert yesterday. "Uprising" and "Resistance" gets the honor of setting the Spektrum audience on fire, and the euphoria is instantly spreading on the ice-cold concrete floor.

Massive
The constructions are quickly transformed into gigantic big-screens that are filled with amazing animations and living footage of the band themselves. Matt Bellamy is playing with his guitar and flashing lasers in the eyes of the audience, and the mass of people on the floor are constantly bouncing.

It's a constant wonder how a band counting only three people, with a little help from a fourth musician in the background, can possibly create so much sound. It sounds massive, detailed, and for the most part crystal clear- with the exception of a few moments where the sound-guy was tempted to push the buttons too hard.

"New Born" and "Supermassive Black Hole" transforms Spektrum to a mini-stadium, complete with lush light effects, confetti-balloons and everything that is required when one of today's biggest entertainment machines comes to town.

Perfect
The at times megalomanic experience is constantly in danger of pushing it too far and turning into a parody of itself, but Bellamy & Co take their job as show-hosts seriously, the smiles and humour is ever present, and works as a counter-weight to all the dramatics.

The plateaus are rising and being lowered back down while Bellamy is running around like a rock hero from outer space, as he's shifting between risky guitar-solos, pompous piano-parts, and agitated doomish-riffs.

"Plug In Baby" and "Time Is Running Out" sound bigger and better than ever, and as "Knights Of Cydonia" fills Spektrum with spaghetti western- and Clint Eastwood wibes, every single person in the audience have decided to camp outside the ticket office the next time this gang comes to visit.

well entertaining

After 2 years of waiting and waiting and more waiting, I finally got to see my musical Gods again, MUSE.
I cannot describe in words what this band means to me, they're my inspiration, my source of creativity, they're my prozac- they pick me up and make me smile when I'm depressed.. They make me relax when I'm high strung and help me rage when I can't get things out of the system on my own.. They ARE really my muse and I don't think I'll ever be able to thank them enough for all they've given me, even if I met them face to face.

So finally they came to Norway again, I bought ticket to the show half a year ago and have gotten increasingly more nervous up until today, knowing that I was going to get to experience them again.
I couldn't even listen to their music today before heading for the concert, it would have been too powerful, I would probably have exploded. Or imploded. Whichever.

Got to the queue which was just too long even though I got there early. I stood there for about 3 hours in the freezing rain, and donated my jacket and skirt to whoever homeless or needy person who'd stumbled upon it when we went inside.

And while we were freezing in the rain, MUSE were freezing on the top of the Opera House!

This picture came ticking in on Muse's Twitter:

Roof of Oslo opera house. It's real Nord 'round here.

And to all us Norwegian fans' delight, this is the first picture or tweet they have sent out on the tour, soooooooo from that we choose to take that they really did like Oslo ^_^

We were let in about half an hour late, and to my surprise, even though I was far back in the queue, I ended up on the front row. Between a lovely girl from Finland on one side, and 2 bitchy girls from France on the other. The Frenchies actually had the nerve to first try and push me out of the way, then scratch my arm and yell "STOP STOP" as if I was the one trying to steal space. And I got there before they did! They were both shorter than me, and still took up twice as much space as I did. Each!
So I told the security guard on them. Just to make him aware that they might be trouble-makers. And I don't feel guilty about that at all. Am actually quite proud of myself. And they did actually shut up after that, the one closest to me tried to push my arm away when I took pictures (which I took away from her as we were on the side of the center-stage and I took pix towards the center), but to my relief (and secret joy) she got more and more grumpy and silent as the concert moved on, which suited me fine. At least she shut up then.

I had a United States of Eurasia flag with me, and the Finnish girl and her Norwegian friend helped me wave it around during said song, which was awesome, it just felt.. Powerful, like the manifestation of what Matt was singing. All of the world united in one massive country with no borders. Except France. Cos they tried to rip down the flag as well. Of course. It was soo in their way, a whole meter to their left!

The concert was great, when it finally started.. We had to endure a support act, The Horrors, which looked as bored as we felt. But then the boys took to the stage and exploded straight into Uprising after a short intro.
And from thereon out it was colours, lasers, smoke, lights, sounds, flashes, movies on the screens/ towers, and just.. impression after impression. It's amazing how such a massive sounding band manages to balance the enormous sound-impressions with the visual impressions. You're standing there wondering just how much more you'll be able to take before it gets too much or they haven't got anymore to give, and then they kick it up another notch, and lift you up as well so you manage to endure it even though you're stretched to your limits.

The setlist was pretty much the same as in Finland and Sweden, with the exception of Cave and Unintended being replaced by Feeling Good. Now... I don't mind Unintended being gone, but replacing Cave with Feeling Good? Hummmm.... oh well. Throughout the concert we got Matt's funny dance and keytar, we got Chris being.. well, Chris! We got Dom looking rampant behind the drumset, and we got balloons, confetti, and guitar-solos from another solar system.

When the concert finished I got my merch, tweeted (/twat? twatted? twoot?) my goodbyes to the crowd that had followed my ramblings on twitter and muse.mu, and went home.
Now, it's 5 hours later, and I'm still shaking from the whole experience. The music is still buzzing in my head and vibrating in my every fiber it seems.. I'm so close to overload, it's a miracle if I get any sleep tonight.

And so the waiting starts again. But so help me God, I won't let it be 2 years until the next time I see these creatures live on a stage. No way!
